I (SECRETLY) LOVE LONG FLIGHTS!
I have to admit this. Crossing the oceans, continents, time zones, and ecuator line, are amazing.
My first long flight attempt, was tiring like hell. So i tried to dig the positive side of it in my second attempt, soon after i realize that this is the time when you can just sit and relax, watching movies while the meals served in front of you. So far, this simply made 6 more long flights easier.
Lazy time is golden, since i almost spend every weekend in a rush, travelling to my hometown, and catch a very bad traffic there; trying to fit everything in 2 days: family, friend, bf (was). And the time goes by, i even forget when should i put my ''me time"
So this is the reason why i love long flights*:
- Knowing you won't have to rushing things in the next >12 hours is relieving.
- Uninterrupted time to Finish my >250 pages book. I know that some of us -a book worm- in the mid 20, find it hard to finish a 250 pages like we used to, so this is the time! Play an instrumental, and read a book. You still have more hours to spent!
- Precious hours when you have to turn off your cell phone. You don't have the urge to see the blinking light in the corner of your phone, and reply everything. This is a little, simplest escape, without guilty. This is the time to accomodate your selfishness :p
- You will love it when you have a nice looking man to accompany you for the next >12 hours
- I love the feeling, but, it would be very nice, if i can get the business class, since my lower back is in pain right now, because of a 32 hours of a not very comfortable seat.
but i slightly hate this:
- The swollen leg.
- Overused lavatory. Smells like yuck.
- Never ending -not really delicious- food supply >> no active movements = calories.
- if i couldn't get my window seat, and got in the center instead. it basically withdraw all the reasons above.
